What is Fundwright? ＋
Fundwright is offline-first desktop software that helps NGOs, consultants and agencies go from a blank page to a funded grant proposal. It runs entirely on your own computer, no internet required to write, cost, format or export a proposal.
Does Fundwright work without internet? ＋
Yes. Fundwright is offline-first by design. Your organisation profile, proposals, budgets and documents live in a local database on your machine, and proposal generation, cost estimation and DOCX/PDF export all work with no connection at all.
Is my NGO's data sent to the cloud? ＋
No. All data stays on your device by default. The optional AI assistance runs as a small local model on your own machine, so proposal text is never uploaded to an external AI service. Cloud sync is optional.
Can I try Fundwright before buying? ＋
Yes. The Free edition is fully functional and can be downloaded from our website. You can upgrade to Pro or Agency at any time.
What platforms does Fundwright run on? ＋
Fundwright runs on Windows, macOS. It is a lightweight desktop application with a small installer, fast startup and low memory use.
Is there support available? ＋
Yes. We offer email support for all editions, and priority support for Pro and Agency users. We also have a knowledge base and user guides available on our website.
Can I share my proposals with others? ＋
Yes. You can export proposals in DOCX, PDF or TXT formats, which can be shared via email or cloud storage.
How secure is my data? ＋
Fundwright stores all data locally on your device by default, so you have full control over your information. Optional cloud sync uses end-to-end encryption to protect your data during transfer.
Can I customize the templates? ＋
Yes. Fundwright allows you to customize proposal templates with your own branding, logos, colors and fonts.
Does Fundwright support multiple languages? ＋
Currently, Fundwright supports English. We are working on adding support for additional languages in future updates.
Can I import existing proposals into Fundwright? ＋
Yes. You can import existing proposals in DOCX or TXT formats into Fundwright for editing and enhancement.
Who is Fundwright for? ＋
Small and mid-sized NGOs writing their own grant proposals, freelance grant writers and consultants, and agencies that manage fundraising for several organisations at once. The Agency edition supports unlimited organisation profiles under one licence.
How does the AI proposal enhancement work? ＋
Fundwright first builds your draft from structured inputs using a rule-based template engine, so the facts, figures and budget stay exactly as you entered them. A small local language model then improves the wording, executive summary, project overview, risk analysis and cover letter, without inventing numbers or claims.
Can Fundwright store our statutory documents? ＋
Yes. The Document Repository stores documents NGOs are asked for again and again, 12A, 80G, CSR-1, registration certificate, PAN, audit reports and annual reports, once, and attaches them automatically to proposals and donor submissions.
What formats can proposals be exported in? ＋
Pro and Agency editions export to DOCX, DOC, PDF and TXT with your own branding and premium templates. The free edition exports watermarked PDF and plain text.

Fundwright is a lightweight desktop application with a small installer, fast startup and low memory use. It runs comfortably on ordinary office laptops; the optional local AI model needs a few gigabytes of free disk space and can be skipped entirely if you prefer template-only output.
