Pitch deck closing slide: how to end your pitch

In short

The closing slide repeats your one-line summary and the ask, gives a clear next step such as a follow-up meeting or data room access, and lists your name, email, phone and website. Leave it on screen during questions so investors can note your details.

The last slide is often on screen the longest, during questions. Make it useful rather than just saying thank you.

What to include

  • Your tagline or a one-sentence summary.
  • The ask in one line.
  • A next step: a demo, a call, data room access.
  • Contact details: name, email, phone and website.
  • Optional: social links or a QR code to your website.

Common mistakes

  • A ‘Thank you’ or ‘Questions?’ slide with nothing else.
  • No contact details on a deck that will be forwarded.
  • Introducing new information for the first time.

Frequently asked questions

Should I add an appendix after the closing slide?

Yes. Put detailed financials, the market calculation, customer case studies and product detail in an appendix after the closing slide, so you can jump to them when asked.
