In short
A press slide shows up to four credible pieces of coverage, awards, accelerator places or partner logos, each with the outlet’s name or logo and a short quote. Use it only when the recognition builds trust; otherwise leave it out or fold the best item into the traction slide.
Third-party recognition can make an early company look more established. It never replaces traction, so keep it short.
What counts
- Coverage in respected national or industry publications.
- Places in selective accelerators or incubators.
- Awards and grants from recognised bodies.
- Partnerships with known organisations, with their permission.
Common mistakes
- Paid placements or press release pick-ups presented as coverage.
- Logo walls with no context.
- Using a partner’s logo without permission.
Frequently asked questions
Is a press slide required?
No. It is optional. Include it if it adds credibility; skip it if you would be stretching.
